Location
Verbier is located in the heart of the Swiss Alps, in the French-speaking Valais, at an altitude of 1’500 m and enjoys an exceptional exposure to the sun. The resort itself is exclusively composed of chalet-style buildings, which give it the charm of a large village.
Verbier offers an enchanting change of scenery in summer and winter and a host of sporting and cultural activities. With easy access, Verbier is only 170km from Geneva (international airport).
Verbier in winter
Verbier lies at the heart of one of the largest skiable areas in the world, the « Four Valleys»: 410km of slopes and 95 mechanical ski lifts. This almost limitless area, in countryside which is excellent for off-piste skiing, gives Verbier its worldwide reputation.
Culminating at 3,330m, the Mont-Fort glacier guarantees exceptional snow conditions and offers unique views of the main alpine summits.
Verbier in summer
Verbier also offers a vast range of summer activities: a network of over 400km of hikes, nearly 200km of prepared tracks for mountain biking, two golf-courses, paragliding schools, and a multi-sports centre open all year round. Numerous events are organized throughout the season.
Summer culture is written in capital letters in Verbier, thanks to the Verbier Festival & Academy. Since the summer of 2000, the residential orchestra has been the « Verbier Festival Orchestra», comprising about a hundred young musicians from all over the world.

After a busy day, Verbier offers you the choice of more than 50 restaurants from the simple snack-bar to gastronomic restaurant.
The resort’s night life takes its guests into some fifteen bar/pubs and four nightclubs, to keep them busy through the night.
